The cooperation activity between Italy and Chad is consolidated thanks to the new advanced training course on 'International Project Management Techniques'. The course takes place in N'Djamena, Chad, from 18 to 21 December 2023, and is aimed at local magistrates.

The training project, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in collaboration with the Chadian Ministry of Justice and hosted by the Training School for Magistrates of Chad (ENFJ), aims to improve the capacity of local actors (and in a special way, of the country's Ministry of Justice) to properly manage the increasingly numerous international cooperation projects in favour of the local judiciary. The four-day course aims to strengthen the skills of local magistrates regarding the planning, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects that are financed by the European Union and other international donors in the justice sector. The course features two international project management experts: Josefien de Kwaadsteniet and Jean Marcial Bell.

"The Sant'Anna School is proud to contribute to this important technical cooperation project, which aims to strengthen the skills of magistrates in Sahelian countries and to develop local capacities," says Andrea de Guttry, Full Professor of International Law at the Dirpolis (Law, Politicsd, Development) Institute and scientific coordinator of the Project. "We are convinced that training and strengthening judicial institutions can promote the rule of law in a key area for the stability of the African continent and Europe.
